Sandy Hoeffer has over 25 years of full-time experience in the fitness industry. She currently provides consulting services related to the design, development and operation of full-service athletic and fitness clubs. Her client list includes club developers, owners, operators and architects.
Previously, as Vice-President of Western Athletic Clubs and a member of the company’s executive team, her responsibilities included new club development, renovations, employee development and training. As part of her experience managing start up clubs and acquisitions, she has also been responsible for sales, marketing, hiring, member retention, operating and capital budgets, operating policies and procedures.
Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA). She also serves on the Advisory Board of the San Francisco Tennis Coalition, a non-profit group dedicated to uniting public and private tennis organizations and individuals to support the SF Recreation and Parks Department. Ms. Hoeffer has also served on the Board of Directors of California Clubs of Distinction.
She currently volunteers at and has served as President of the Board of Directors of Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center, a non-profit agency serving low-income and at risk youth, families and seniors in San Francisco. Other community outreach work also includes volunteer experience with Guide Dogs for the Blind, American Cancer Society, and Project Open Hand.
